I'm happy to introduce you to Peter Howell Elementary School, home of the Hawks.
We are a proud part of the Tucson Unified School District where students love to learn, teachers love to teach, and people love to work!
Our school provides high quality educational experiences for all students who call Peter Howell THEIR School! We have approximately 240 students who attend from the surrounding neighborhood, as well as from our extended neighborhood which is located near Campbell Avenue and 34th Street. We also accept Open Enrollment students. We are proud to be recognized as a Kind Campus through Ben’s Bells and excited to promote C2G (Commitment to Graduation).
Many programs and services are offered to students and their families, including OMA (Opening Minds through the Arts), GATE (Gifted and Talented Education), Exceptional Education, music and art integrated instruction, Student Council, after-school clubs such as Math Club and Kindness Club, cross country, basketball, track, kickball, Girls on the Run, Reading Seed, and Restorative Practices.
Our parent group is active with several exciting events throughout the year. We also have partnerships with many organizations that provide tutoring and mentoring to our students, such as Reading Seed and the Peter Howell Neighborhood Association. Keep a lookout for all the activities all year long!
We always love to have visitors and invite you to stop by to see the great things happening at Peter Howell.
We look forward to your visit!
